The distance learning schedules have been created by our grade level teaching teams. They have ensured that we are providing more than the minimum daily required instructional minutes. The schedules include daily interactive learning time, teacher direct instruction, small group instruction, and independent practice time. The schedules also include morning meetings where attendance will be taken and daily office hours for students and parents.
Please note that Mondays are less teacher directed and will feature music, art, and other special assignments. Teachers will start the day at 8:30 with attendance and then provide an overview for the week. There will be time to answer questions and support students individually. Teachers will spend the remainder of Monday in grade level collaboration professional development and preparing for the week’s lessons. The school day for all grades is 8:30-2:45.
These are the school supplies that will best help your child be successful during distance learning. Please also make sure your student has a dedicated and quiet learning place. Please let us know if you need any assistance with getting these supplies.
Families will be able to pick up materials from Spreckels Elementary on Tuesday August 18th. Chromebooks will be available for pickup on both the 17th and 18th. Specific times will be announced shortly.
