Good Morning Parents,

On Thursday our students were hiking around camp, enjoying the sunny day! They learned about Earth Rocks, the Wonder of Water, and the Solar System. Some students hiked up over the hill to the Musical Rocks and learned about meteorology, energy, and sustainability.

Students were able to practice their skits in preparation for this evening’s campfire program. Dinner consisted of tostados and churros. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely! After dinner, students gathered in the amphitheater to perform their skits! Skit night was a hit as always! Check out our pictures on our camp website.

The kids have enjoyed their trip and will be sad to depart. Students will have another morning program before they eat lunch and head back to school. We will be departing around 1:00 pm and arriving back at BV around 3:30.

There were a number of cell phones that buzzed and had alarms as they sat in the Teacher Cabin this week. Please do not be surprised if your student does not respond to calls or text messages. Please call the school for updated arrival time.

Arriving home can be an emotional time for students. Most are still high energy and ready to learn tomorrow, but will be ready to arrive home to waiting families. Seeing family can sometimes cause emotional reactions, but we can assure you that kids had a great week at camp and made some incredible memories!

We have had such a great trip and the naturalists have been amazing! The Rancho Staff is incredible and we are thankful to have such a great camp to come to. Our parent Cabin Leaders have also been fabulous! Overall, we’ve had a great week! See you tomorrow afternoon!
